Mercenaries and Magic FYI

I want to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who is reading, rating and reviewing ‘Sharpest Edge’ at the moment! It means the world to me that you guys love The Edgeworth Crew as much as I do and are on board for more adventures.

I’ve been getting a lot of messages, some a little aggressive if I’m honest (not cool), about WHEN AM I GOING TO WRITE MORE.

I wanted to give you an FYI on where I am at with this series and what the general plan is so you can all take a breath (please do it now, big breath).

This series is an absolute passion project for me; it wasn’t planned in my schedule like AT ALL. That means I write it in between other shit.

This year, I have promised the Fae Universe readers the IRONWOOD series. That’s locked in. That’s a definite thing that will happen. I won’t be changing this. This means that as much as I would love to get another M&M book out this year, I’m not making any promises.

In saying that, these ones are a stress relief so I’m not completely dismissing the idea of getting another one done in 2022. I’m just not guaranteeing it.

So what’s the good news?

WELL. I can say that I have another two books currently in planning/ researching for it. Book 3 will be called ‘Toughest Deal’ and will be the hunt for Dee. Book 4 will be ‘Deepest Cut’ and it will be Dante and Leo dealing with his family and other BIG BAD PEOPLE. I’m also tentatively looking at a spin off series.

All of this is to assure you much more Mercenaries are coming and it will probably be sooner than you think. I’m just focusing on Ironwood for the time being. Cool? Cool.

I’ve personally got a pair and they make my ass look so good just an FYI. But wait, there’s more…

Fuck yes! I love this hoodie! I need cold to come back to Melbourne so I have an opportunity to wear both of these, but I’ll be living in them come winter.

Yay to the Edgeworth Crew and everyone who loves them! Please know, I love that you love them. It makes my demented heart so happy…but do not message me demanding that I write something RIGHT NOW. Like, I know you probably don’t mean it to be rude, but it kinda sorta is. I have ADHD and I’m running this business as well as writing. I’m not a machine that can pump out words non-stop. I’m trying to balance three separate series now. I’m doing the best I can, and so is my team of editors, proof readers and designers. So be kind.

A mini IRONWOOD update – I’m currently edging 20k words and we already have:

1. A family of magical magicians with attitude problems.
2. Reeve grovelling
3. Three over protective fae princes growling with over protectiveness
4. New and improved horde creatures to give you nightmares
5. An ‘I’m so full of adrenaline from battle that I’m just going to kiss you’ scene.

In other words…it’s all coming together.

I’m thinking when I’m a bit further along, I’m going to drop a chapter or two on here cos you all seem to love it when I do.

For now, I’m going to go and smash out tomorrows word target so I can kick back with the new Crescent City book by Sarah J Maas. I swear I’m so excited I could puke.
