Hi lovelies,
The whole ‘Gods Universe’ is going on sale — and by sale I mean the first boxset is FREE, and the other three are 99c each. Four boxsets. Thirteen books. Every god, monster, witch and villain I’ve ever given a happily ever after to.
It’s this weekend only. Monday it all goes back to normal and I go back to pretending I’m a responsible business person who doesn’t do shit like this because The Odyssey introduced people to how awesome Circe is (book 6) and the shenanigans that came about before and after the Trojan War (book 13).
Or if you, like me, wondered where the fuck Hermes was in that whole movie don’t worry fam bam, he popped up in this series and tries to jump into every damn book after his own because *jazz hands* HERMES. Like I’m not even kidding, it’s a running joke amongst the Thornstars at this point.
For any of my newbies here’s what you’re grabbing and some links for all you:
FREE — ‘The Court of the Underworld: Books 1–4’
The one that started everything. Hades has hauled himself up out of the Underworld, built a brand new city called Styx over the smouldering ruins of Corinth, and filled it with his court of titans, demigods and monsters. Not everyone is thrilled the gods have come out of hiding.
You get Asterion (minotaur, club owner, my beloved, do not perceive me), Medusa running a media empire from behind a thousand screens and keeping a private sculpture garden of people who crossed her, Hades himself being an absolute disaster about a demigoddess with power over life and death, and Hermes….being Hermes.
If you’ve never read me before, this is your on-ramp. Dark gods, monsters-with-feelings, villains who get their bad ass hotties. If you liked Katee Roberts or Scarlett St Clair but wanted more gods content and magic you are in the right place.
99c — ‘The Court of the Underworld: Books 5–7’
The titan triplets (Thanatos, Charon and Erebus) from Hades’ Court get their turn. Pithos may have been disbanded, but something worse is rising out of its ashes — and they want a full war between gods and men and a shiny new pantheon out of it. Cue a family of extremely powerful sorceresses Hecate, Circe and Medea take a bow ladies! (with lots of bonus Hermes).
99c — ‘Gods of the Duat: Books 1–3’
Egyptian gods, and yes, they have millennia-old grudges, and no, they are not over them. Set, Thoth (and Hermes because he wasn’t getting left behind in Greece) and Anubis (with bonus Hermes), each getting dragged kicking and screaming into a HEA they absolutely didn’t plan for and don’t think they want. If you like your gods enormous, ancient and emotionally unavailable right up until they aren’t — this one’s for you.
99c — ‘The Lost Goddesses’
Persephone decides to go for an adventure and finds Bellona, Laverna (Oops Hermes & his big gold disco stick are back) and Eris (with bonus Hermes). Goddesses who got written out, sidelined or misremembered, taking it all back. Fierce, smart, and taking absolutely no shit. This one is a bit of a love letter to every woman in myth who got a one-line footnote and deserved a whole book.
The boring-but-necessary bit:
- Sale runs August 1st and ends midnight August 2nd (US PT time cos Amazon).
- Monday, prices go back to normal. No extensions, I’m terrible at those because I always forget.
- All of these are also in KU if you’d rather just binge your pants off.
And the ask, because I have no shame (Hermes stole if from me in Santorini & a donkey was involved & no I don’t want to talk about it):
If you read one and love it, please tell your mates about the deal and leave it a lil rating or review. The old algos are being their brutal ass selves right now, so try to give all your indies a little extra love this weekend (not just me). It genuinely is the single kindest thing a reader can do for us, and it matters more than you know.
That’s all from me — off you go and get your gods!
Alessa xx
Reminder: I’m still not on Instagram. It’s not a healthy place for me and I’d rather use that brain space on words. If you want to yell at me about Bid Daddy Hades (please do), leave a comment on the blog and I’ll get an email and answer you xx
I LOVE your stories! I hope you’re planning more in both the Gods Universe as well as in the Fae Universe!

I sure am! The Fae Universe is up next with Ragnarok, starting with The Fanged One in September. The Gods, I’m going back to next year for sure. Depending on the Muse I might even get another sneaky short story in before then hehe.
